Simon Ancher handcraft many furniture by using the texture of the wood which caught my first attention. As we know that we will do some experiment and research before cutting the wood because it will waste the wood. For example, I used a needler and a piece of paper, then I started to poke many holes on the paper and follow the wood pattern. Therefore, on the bright colour side I will poke less holes and the darker colour side will poke more holes. Next, put a flashlight on the bottom of paper and it can clearly see the light from all the holes. So, we know what angle we should cut to make it into a perfect shape.
