Tools. Machines. The ways in which a craftsman transforms slabs of wood into glorious cabinets, furniture or other objects. The machinery Dunsmuir would use in his workshop would be of high quality, sophisticated and cover many aspects of woodworks. When viewing his work, you can automatically assume which artefacts and machinery his work would need to be created. Dunsmuir’s workshop would have a bandsaw, table saw, thicknesser, spindle, jointer and more to bring his quality designs to life. The most important tool though, is himself. As a designer, his mind is the greatest tool, as it conjures up and creates the designs that can be brought to life by secondary artefacts in a workshop.
