Ben Richardson a range of styles and sized vessels in his personal or commercial works with strong earthy colours. Exhibiting layered meanings through the different clays used Richardson believes his vessel work have function at rest but a vessel in use has huge potential. With his tall but robust and bulbus vases, to his small cups and mugs with misshapen lips and varied textured surfaces along side with the more commercially viable plates and bowls that are more uniform across the batch but have influences of his work with colouring.
