Tasmania forest produce strongest and
unique hardwood and softwood timber in the world by using only the soil,
sunlight, water and carbon dioxide from the surrounding. Therefore, the timber
produced in Tasmania have a great texture of the timber. Therefore, it related
to my research artist Simon Ancher because he makes great furniture by
transforming the wood into different of shape on the surface of the furniture.
In addition, there are 6 type of texture of wood such as straight, irregular,
diagonal, twisted, interlocked and wavy gain. Besides that, sawing the log also
required technique because different sawing method will create different
texture on the wood when looking in different angle.
