White-Space
White-Space is an area which outlines a form or shape which emphasises and brings clarity to any element.
The use of the material in Lynda Warner’s work is inspiring, just looking through her portfolio you will see a dozen different materials, for her practice doesn't settle on one tangible material. Yet she explores and investigates an array of materials that will fulfil the client's needs. She mentioned this in our conversation “I do work and investigate different materials that individual projects may require to bring something more to design.” (Lynda Warner, 2019).
However, one underlying constant is the absence of material. This conceptual material is prolific within Warner portfolio, be it for print or fabrication. For she strives for a minimalist and honest design, emphasis the saying ‘less is more’.
