Eucalyptus hardwood, more commonly known as Tasmanian oak, sourced from beautiful Tasmania. The perfect type of wood for Tasmanian designer, Rye Dunsmuir, to use in his creations. Though there are plenty of Tasmanian woods to choose from, Dunsmuir has refined his design process down to a bare minimum, and knows what woods work well for his designs. Tas oak being the most common.
The oak is sturdy, hard and strong, and is known for its terrific staining qualities which make it ready for mixing and matching with other timbers. Those properties make it exactly why Dunsmuir uses them for cabinets, chairs and tables. Sturdy, long lasting and an aesthetic appeal.
